Future Of Time

It is not the right time to think about future, first we must think about the future of time instead.

Time is really a strange thing or phenomenon  whatever you like to call it. To some  it is an illusion while for some others it is the most stark reality. According to John Randolph it is at once the most valuable and perishable possession. Time reminds me of the story in which a blind person was asked to  describe an elephant that he has never seen by touching it. He gave different descriptions as he touched different parts.

There is no doubt that time has become a very important factor in our lives and it is very difficult to have a proper life without accepting its existence.

At present for some time is the master of our lives and we are bound to follow it and use it to the maximum. For some others it is a tool that helps to lead a balanced life.

It appears time is of two types, one is in the bigger and conceptual form and the other one has been  invented .  Taking the later first may be when we started living we came to know of days and nights.Soon we realized some things happening repeatedly and accepted them as a reality. Sunrise indicated start of the day and sunset start of night. Perhaps it was quite later that man thought of subdividing the whole day in to smaller units to make living easier giving rise to the concept of morning, afternoon, evening and night. With further development even smaller units were coined like hours. Thus, time became an instrument of convenience for organized living.

It is the macro and conceptual form of time that remains a mystery. We have divided our living in to three periods, past, present and future and believe that it is the passing of time that results in the creation of the above three in that sequence. But if we see objectively it is only the present that exists. While past comprises of memories future consists of wishes or dreams. Thus, it seems that time is a constant element and it remains present in the same shape all the time if it really exists.

What will happen if it is proved that the concept of time is a mere illusion and what will be its effect on humans and their life?

As the invented time will remain, therefore, the organized life will not be disturbed, but as the prevalent concept of time will cease to exist following fallout can happen:-

All the things will start happening at the same time as according to John Archibald Wheeler “Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.” Thus, past, present and future might happen at the same time.  As an example the marriage of a father and his child happening on the same day.

It is said that time is money thus, the world will get rid of rich and equality would prevail. Also, According to Carl Sandburg “Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you”. So nothing to worry about no one can now spend your time.

According to Baltasar Graacian “All that really belongs to us is time; even he who has nothing else has that”. This also points towards an equal world.

Another good news. Louis Hector Berlioz said: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.  It would be time for pupils to celebrate, good riddance.

And now a good news for liars too. Seneca declared: Time discovers truth. Keep going respected and not so respected liars of our world.

It appears that that poverty of wisdom too would be an after effect if time ceases to exist because according to Pericles: Time is the wisest counselor of all.  Must take time (mind you watch time) to think about its implications,

Another good thing would be that we would get rid of the accusation of wasting time and would also not wait for good times and be happy with whatever type of  time we have.

All in all not a very bad situation. Don’t worry and have a good time.
